The goal is to make this a relaxed, loving time for the family and their beloved pet, and I will capture the natural behaviors of the animal without causing undue stress or pressure to perform. It's best to use a quiet location they are familiar with - if not at home, then a favorite park or trail without too much traffic. The comfort and welfare of the pet is first and foremost, over getting the perfect pose or positioning for a photo. If the pet is overly stressed, I will take my time or reschedule if needed. The end result will reflect the true souls and the love between them, and will be treasured forever.
If you are in this position, I would strongly encourage you - just do it - with me or another Tilly Project photographer. Take the time. We make it as easy and smooth as possible for you at a time when additional stress would be unbearable. You will not regret it.
